All on-location photography has ceased since mid-March. Like many of you, I’m sheltering-in-place and I’m OK with that.

I recognized the name and at first figured the woman may have lost her photo files and was hoping I may still have them available (I did), but she was actually inquiring to see if I’d be interested and available in creating some new profile photos for her daughter who was starting her new career as a real estate agent. A little more than (yikes) 14 years ago I stepped into a job interview that was a little awkward, to say the least. I had applied for a position as photo editor of a couple of newspapers and didn’t get the job. Instead, the company called me back to be reinterviewed for a related position — by the person they hired over me as the editor.
When Anthologie started, the work focused on families and weddings. It was a steady train that kept chugging along, gaining momentum each year. I’ve had so many wonderful experiences, shared in meaningful stories and connected with inspiring people around the country. But after nearly 10 years, I was ready to refocus and evolve my work again.
